Mental Toughness
Build resilience, focus, and composure under pressure with techniques like visualization, self-talk, and stress control to perform at your best.
ELITE SHOOTING
Perfect shooting form, footwork, and follow-through. Learn to shoot consistently from anywhere on the court with proper mechanics that become second nature.
BALL HANDLING
Develop lightning-quick hands and court vision. Master dribbling with both hands, change of pace, and moves that create space and scoring opportunities.
GAME IQ
Learn to read defenses, make smart decisions under pressure, and understand positioning. High basketball IQ separates players who make teams from those who don't.
COACH ELYSONNE
He knows what it means to build from the ground up — starting with family and community first.
Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawai’i, Coach Elysonne Quila’s passion for basketball began at age 3. Growing up, he competed in men’s leagues and Filipino tournaments, always staying deeply connected to both the game and his community.
A devoted father of five, his family remains the foundation of his love for basketball and his purpose as a coach.
Elysonne began his coaching career as an assistant at the high school level, where he built a strong foundation in teaching and mentoring young athletes. His coaching path took a personal and meaningful turn when he saw his daughter fall in love with the game, just as he had.
Inspired by her passion, he began coaching 1st and 2nd graders, and later 3rd and 4th graders at the YMCA — completing three impactful seasons of guiding the youngest players through their first steps in basketball.
Coach Quila is known for his heart, discipline, and dedication. He is committed to developing confident, team-minded athletes who grow not only
as players, but as people.
- His ultimate goal is to help his daughter and his teams go as far as their talent and determination can carry them — with dreams of one day reaching the WNBA and beyond.
“Basketball has always been my passion, but my purpose is to use the game to teach discipline, teamwork, and belief — values that will last far beyond the court.”
